Community Ride - Holiday Edition

It was a foggy first day of December, but we had a wonderful, festive ride nonetheless!

There was a light drizzle at 4:00, but it was not too bad (it only began to rain after the ride). After we installed lights on our bikes and instructed the group of 30 riders about safety, we took off from Old Roma Station. We slowly meandered past the festively decorated & illuminated homes on Tucker, Piper and Johnson streets before arriving at the Holiday Farmers Market at the Plaza.

Some riders stayed at the market, and the rest returned via Foss Creek Pathway to the Old Roma Station parking lot. Special thanks to Council Member Chris Herrod and Public Works Director Larry Zimmer for showing their support by joining us. And to Randy Johnson of Wine Country Bikes for providing bikes for free, so everyone could participate.

We were very happy to have several families with kids on the ride, who clearly enjoyed it and wished that the ride would have been a little longer. Yes, we will have longer rides in the spring and summer and will also explore roads outside of town. So, stay tuned! We will publish our rides for 2024 by the end of December.

Happy Holidays and ride safely!
