Mark your calendars for our next Community Walk, in cooperation with the City of Healdsburg, this time on Fitch Mountain. August can be hot, so we’ll beat the heat with a Sunday morning walk up our beloved and mostly shaded Fitch Mountain.

Designer/artist and Fitch Mountain resident Johanna Grawunder will be our special guest. Johanna will discuss her commissioned installation on Fitch Mountain, Summit Variations, which consists of five functional sculptures sited around the top of the Summit Trail. In addition, history buffs will have the opportunity to chat with longtime Healdsburg resident Ted Calvert, author of “A Sense of Place: The Legacy of Fitch Mountain“.

If you are not familiar with Fitch Mountain, it is a moderately challenging 3-mile loop, and the trail can be quite steep in places.

Move! Healdsburg en colaboración con la Ciudad de Healdsburg le invita a nuestro primer Paseo del Arte de la Comunidad.

La diseñadora y artista Johanna Grawunder, residente en Fitch Mountain, será nuestra invitada especial. Johanna hablará de su instalación en Fitch Mountain, Summit Variations, que consiste en cinco esculturas funcionales situadas alrededor de la cima del Summit Trail. Además, los aficionados a la historia tendrán la oportunidad de charlar con Ted Calvert, residente de Healdsburg desde hace mucho tiempo y autor de “A Sense of Place: The Legacy of Fitch Mountain”.

Si no está familiarizado con Fitch Mountain, se trata de un circuito moderadamente exigente de 3 millas, y el sendero es bastante empinado en algunas partes. La subida a la montaña dura entre 30 y 40 minutos.
