Tour de Healdsburg

Following two weeks of triple-digit heat, we were fortunate to enjoy cool temps and clouds during our Tour de Healdsburg on the French Bastille Day…with the sun appearing just as the group of 30+ riders arrived at Enso Village for refreshments.

The route started at Healdsburg City Hall, followed the Foss Creek Trail to its northern end and then crossed the street to ride North on Healdsburg Avenue. We continued past Enso Village (with the Appellation Hotel still under construction) and then took a right turn onto Passalaqua Rd to the new connector street to Parkland Farms. From there, it was a pleasant and quick ride on Parkland Farms Blvd, with its tree-lined wide streets and bike lanes, and back up to Enso Village. No one had an issue with that last hill (thanks in some cases to e-bikes!)

The 10 or so Enso riders and Enso Village’s Head of Marketing & Communications, Nick Flores, warmly welcomed us to their home. Everyone enjoyed drinks and delicious scones in the stylish dining area. Most of the group also toured the facility, including one of the beautifully- and sustainably-designed units, as well as the outdoor areas. The final surprise of the ride was the Move! / Enso bike water bottle gift for everyone to take home.

Move! Healdsburg would like to thank Nick and the rest of the Enso Village community for the partnership and helping us build community in Healdsburg.

Mark your calendars for our next event in August, an art-themed Community Walk on Fitch Mountain on August 11th, where we will learn about the “Summit Variations” public art installation on the mountain from the artist herself, Johanna Grawunder!

If anyone has ideas for future community walks or rides, please send an email to: admin@movehealdsburg.org
